Zanesville, Ohio – May 17, 2012
Ribbon cutting ceremony on May 23rd will celebrate the recent $2 million investment in state-of-the art equipment at Economy Linen and Towel Service of Zanesville, Inc. These advancements will increase the capacity of the facility by 30%. Benefits of this project include reduced usage of 12,000 mm BTUs and 20,000,000 gallons of water per year.

We are being good corporate citizens by saving water and energy. In recent years, hospitals have been motivated to reduce their carbon footprint, which includes energy use by their suppliers , said Vice President of Operations Jim Buchbinder. We continue to help them meet their objectives while also making a strong financial commitment to our community. Economy Linen and Towel Service, Inc., a leading linen supplier for 80 years, established the hospital healthcare laundry in Zanesville in 1982. The modern HLAC*accredited facility dedicated to hospital healthcare laundry employs 162 staff and produces over 20 million pounds of quality linen annually.

Increasing capacity will allow us bring more business into our facility. Our growth will positively impact the Zanesville community. Buchbinder said. Economy Linen services over 20 hospitals and hospital networks in Central and Southern Ohio.
